Seven Rows Ben Nevis Sauvignon blanc 2024 (highly recommended)
This wooded Sauvignon Blanc is made from a blend of our two Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, Pincushion and Sugarbush.
The grapes underwent a 12-hour skin contact before being drained and gently pressed. Fermentation was started in stainless steel and after five days was then transferred to barrel to finish fermentation.
This classic Cape Agulhas Sauvignon Blanc shows white stone fruit with hints of blackcurrant and minerality. The wine expresses complexity with an explosion of fruit with great structure. The very subtle wood influence adds a beautiful roundness to the wine. The ability to age is ensured by crisp acidity.
Seven Rows Semillon 2024
A very gentle whole bunch pressing was used to ensure that only the best possible juice gets extracted from the grapes. Juice was fermented in 500L French oak barrels and then left on the lees, in barrel, for 11 months. This wine is showing complex aromatics of lime, peach and white pear. On the palate, the wine shows the intense concentration of fruit. The zesty acidity gives this Semillon great freshness and a long lingering aftertaste.
Seven Rows Snowbush 2024
On the nose, the wine is showing complex floral and stone fruit notes with a hint of minerality. On the palate, the wine is soft, rounded and refined with layers of flavours of fruit and citrus notes. The presence of the oak supports the wine and adds complexity. The natural fresh acidity of this unique wine from Cape Agulhas adds a great liveliness to this wine. This complexity and flavours come from very selective sourcing and obsessive attention to detail.
Cat’s Tail single vineyard Syrah 2022
The vineyards are planted in north-west facing blocks on the lower reaches of the farm within view of the sea, in KoffieKlip and highly weathered soils. The vineyards of Lomond are surrounded by indigenous flora known as Fynbos. This single vineyard wine is named after a vulnerable listed species endemic to the Agulhas region, Erica Lineata or Cats Tail Erica.
Conebush single vineyard Syrah 2022
The vineyards are planted in north-west facing blocks on the lower reaches of the farm within view of the sea, in sandy, gravelly and highly weathered soils with a clay substructure. The vineyards of Lomond are surrounded by indigenous flora known as Fynbos. This single vineyard wine is named after a vulnerable listed species endemic to the Agulhas region, Leucadendron Coniferum or the Dune Conebush.
Sugarbush single vineyard Sauvignon blanc 2024
This registered Single Vineyard site was deliberately chosen, owing to its specific terroir consisting of fine caolin clay soils, for the crafting of the Sugarbush Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc. This is one of the highest vineyards on the farm situated on the southeast facing slopes of Ben Lomond, which ensures that the vineyard is cooled by the prevailing summer winds off the sea. The vineyards of Lomond are surrounded by indigenous flora known as Fynbos. This single vineyard wine is named after a vulnerable listed species endemic to the Agulhas region, Protea obtusifolia or Limestone Sugarbush.
Belladonna SMV 2021
The Syrah, Mourvedre and Viognier vineyards are planted in north-west facing blocks on the lower reaches of the farm within view of the sea. The vineyards of Lomond are surrounded by indigenous flora known as Fynbos. This wine is named after a vulnerable listed species endemic to the Agulhas region, Amarylis Belladonna. Maroon-edged deep vermilion colour. Bouquet of juicy red fruit with spice, faintly smoky floral and black fruit. Savoury aromas of dark chocolate, spice and red fruit.
Estate Sauvignon blanc 2024
Bold yet elegant, this cool climate Sauvignon Blanc is a true representation of the unique and diverse terroir of the Southern Most Tip of Africa. The estate blend was created using elements from various blocks to ensure that the result is greater than the sum of the parts and over-delivers on every aspect.
Blanc de blanc Cap Classique 2020
Chardonnay: This vineyard was carefully chosen as it consistently delivers fruit of exceptional quality. We use the traditional méthode champenoise method and this Cap Classique is aged sur lees for a minimum of 24 months before being riddled and degorged. Bright, golden sun-kissed straw. Intense aromas of white fruit, almond nuts and hints of minerality. Ultra fine mousse, showing hints of brioche and freshness that gives the wine a lingering aftertaste.
